Punjab Government Electric Bike Scheme Eligibility
What is verified about eligibility, and why student rules should not be copied into every 2026 e-bike phase.
Eligibility for the Punjab government electric bike scheme depends on which program phase you mean. The earlier CM student scheme and the newer 2026 electric-bike framework are related but not identical. See the 2026 scheme status guide for the current framework.
Student scheme eligibility
Punjab’s official student e-bike page published criteria including a minimum age of 18, regular enrollment at an HEC-recognized degree college or university, and a motorcycle learner permit or driving licence. The scheme was designed for students and used geographic/quota rules and e-balloting when demand exceeded availability. 2026 framework
The March 2026 PCAP document focuses on manufacturers, approved models and financing. It says e-bikes can be delivered to individuals and corporate entities, but it does not by itself define every final consumer eligibility rule. Read about approved e-bike models before treating a retail model as scheme-eligible.
Government employees
Search demand for an employee-specific scheme is rising, but current official Punjab material reviewed for this site does not establish a universal government-employee quota.
