CM Electric Bike Scheme 2026: Current Punjab Status
Current structure of Punjab’s 2026 electric-bike initiative, what is verified, and what applicants should still check live.
Search interest in the CM electric bike scheme 2026 is high because Punjab is continuing its push toward electric two-wheelers. The most useful current official source is the Punjab Transport & Masstransit Department’s March 2026 registration document for electric two-wheeler manufacturers and models under PCAP. For the broader picture, start with our Electric Bike Scheme Pakistan 2026 guide.
What the official 2026 document confirms
The document says Punjab intends to offer e-bikes through an incentive-backed financing model. Approved manufacturers and models are to be registered and displayed on a dedicated application portal. Consumers will be able to select from the approved range, while the Bank of Punjab is identified as the financing and delivery-coordination partner. See the separate approved models and warranty guide.
It also describes government support such as equity contribution, payment of interest cost and registration charges. Bikes priced up to PKR 300,000 can be financed under the described framework; a higher-priced model can be offered, but the amount above PKR 300,000 is to be paid upfront by the applicant. Our Pakistan e-bike price and scheme limit guide explains that distinction.
What is not safe to assume
An OEM registration document is not the same as a permanently open consumer application. Application dates, applicant categories, quotas, installment schedules and required documents should be taken from the live consumer portal when Punjab announces that phase. Before submitting anything, use the CM Punjab apply-online checklist.
CM versus older student scheme
Punjab’s earlier CM e-Bikes Scheme focused on students and had student-specific eligibility and balloting rules. Do not copy those rules into the newer 2026 scheme unless the current notice repeats them. Compare the current program with our Punjab e-bike eligibility guide.
How to verify the real application
Use a link published by the Punjab Portal or Punjab Transport Department. Confirm the scheme name, application window, approved bike list and Bank of Punjab role before submitting CNIC or payment information. Avoid social-media forms claiming guaranteed selection; see our fake portal and scam warning.
